What is the Difference between Hydraulic Rotary Drilling Rig and Rotary Jet Anchor Drilling Rig?

Hydraulic Rotary Drilling Rig: a rotating mechanism driven by circulating high-pressure oil to drill in coal or soft rock. It is mainly used for drilling holes in mining and tunneling faces, and can also be used for drilling bolt holes, water exploration holes, gas drainage holes, and coal seam water injection holes. Hydraulic rotary drilling machines according to the propulsion mode, can be divided into handheld and rail types two.

Rotary Jet Anchor Drilling Rig:

An anchor drilling rig is an essential tool in coal mine anchor support, and the development of anchor support needs a large number of anchor hole drilling equipment as a guarantee. An anchor drilling is a drilling tool for anchor support work in a coal mine roadway. It has outstanding advantages in improving support effect, reducing support cost, speeding up lane formation, reducing auxiliary transportation, reducing labor intensity, and improving the utilization rate of lane sections.

It affects the quality of anchor support—the accuracy of anchor hole orientation, depth, hole diameter, and the quality of anchor installation—as well as the operator's personal safety, labor intensity, and operating conditions

Rotary Jet Anchor Drilling Rig Working Principle

1. In the layered rock, the lower unstable rock is suspended on the upper stable rock. The tension of the bolt comes from the suspended rock.
2. In the thin rock stratum without a stable rock stratum, the clamping force of the bolt will increase the friction between the layers after the bolt is installed safely. This friction can prevent the rock from sliding along the layer, thus locking several thin rock strata into a thicker rock stratum through the bolt. The maximum bending stress and strain in this thick rock beam are inversely proportional to the square of the thickness of the beam. The thicker the integrated rock beam, the smaller the maximum bending stress and strain. At the same time, the strength of the bolt itself also increases the overall shear capacity of the beam.

3. The principle of bolt combined arch, in the fracture zone of the surrounding rock of the roadway in the form of prestressed bolt installation, at both ends of the rod, will form a circular vertebral body from distribution of compressive stress. If the bolt group is arranged along the roof, the compressive stress circular vertebral bodies formed by each bolt will overlap to form a pressure arch to prevent the diffusion of the fracture zone, which can withstand the radial load applied by the upper broken rock. The pre-tightening force along the axial direction of the bolt produces circumferential stress in the composite arch, which obviously improves the stress state of the bearing arch and changes the surrounding rock state from uniaxial and biaxial to triaxial compression. In this way, a uniformly compressed continuous bearing area is formed in the surrounding rock, thus greatly improving the bearing capacity of the composite arch.
